I was a bit naughty and bought a Ukiyo-e of a Ghost story and since its about a monster cat it makes it even better ^^ at least I have a trio of Kabuki actor/warrior and ghost story now to hang on the wall :D.
This story is about the cat monster of saga ” The Nabeshima family, daimyo of Hizen Province, continued to be plagued by a cat monster. According to legend, the mistress of the Lord of Saga Castle was killed by a cat monster that possessed her body and then slowly drained the Lord of his strength each night. Got my new Kuniyoshi print in the post. Its lovely and will be framed soon. It’s the middle part of a triptych but as a print in its own right its wonderful! :3
My next journey is to try and find a Utagawa Kuniyoshi Ghost/Demon print, for a reasonable price (considering the 2 I bought cost less then £100 for both!) But I may have to save up for a ghost one, as I so badly love Japanese Ghost Stories!
